Funnygames ( http://www.funnygames.us, http://www.cadajogo.com, http://www.cadajuego.es, http://www.cadajogo.com.br, http://www.funnygames.nl, http://www.funnygames.be, http://www.funnygames.eu, http://www.funnygames.se ) seems to be blocking all external links in games they use and have also their own advertisement before a game so Mochi ads do not show.

Is there a way to prevent that other then requesting to remove a game from their server?

Doesn't mochi have some kind of list/option where the ads won't be shown until someone clicks on a button?

Yeah, Mochi is supposed to detect when something like this happens (some ad covering mochiad) and stops the game. In this case is not working though. I played Pwong2 in cadajuego.es and when tried to click on 'more games' KAPUT:

SecurityError: Error #2146: Security sandbox violation: http://static.cadajuego.es/games/0/9210/9210.swf/[[DYNAMIC]]/1 cannot call navigateToURL because the HTML/container parameter allowNetworking has the value internal. at global/flash.net::navigateToURL() at Pwong2/goToJGames1() at Pwong2/creditsButtonClicked()

The bastards!

the way around this behavior is for all the game developers to make their own portals, its will solve the issue

If a site blocks all outgoing links then mochi can't put the 'click to continue' link in because the swf never finds out. That's why it doesn't work Ernesto.

The only things we could do would be for new games to have a blacklist stored in the swf, or have default failure, i.e. no ad==no game.

I don't see why mochi can't put the click to continue button (not link). The reason it's not there is probably because they are not yet aware of this site blocking the ads.

That's false. The domains have been added to the click to play list.

Sorry. I got confused between 'no external links' and 'no swf fetches from other domains'. My mistake.

Hi Bob,

Thx, but what about that they do not allow external links in the games. Isn't it possible to block them completely?

They use param name="allowNetworking" value="internal" (via javascript function)

You missed http://www.funnygames.biz/game/shoppingcart_hero.html , I think. If it doesn't show the overlay the first time just refresh.

EDIT: That was quick :)

The best thing to do for sites that use allowNetworking=internal is just to have everyone contact the portal and ask to remove your game unless they allow external links.

You can also implement this algorithm into your game:

http://jaycsantos.com/flash/experiment-how-to-determine-if-allownetworking-parameter-is-enabled/

and show some message, like you do in a site-locked versions.

I've not try it by myself yet, but I will.

I contacted them yesterday, and this morning I received the reply that outgoing links are active again! Victory! :)
